The diagnosis, complexity, materials and stages of treatment affect the estimate. An advertisement is not a personalized assessment. ORAL does not publish unverified price ranges or attribute unconfirmed fees to a practice.
What to include in your estimate
Request an itemized estimate for imaging, surgery, the connecting component, the crown or denture, any grafting, and maintenance. Ask how complications or replacement parts would be billed. Do not assume that a quoted implant fee includes the finished tooth.
Compare what is included
- Consultation, examination and imaging
- Preparatory and related procedures
- Materials, laboratory work and temporary restorations
- Anaesthesia or sedation, if indicated
- Final placement, adjustments and follow-up
- Long-term maintenance, repair and replacement
Insurance and the CDCP
Ask for a written estimate of the plan’s contribution and your share. Preauthorization may be needed. Practice fees and CDCP fees may differ. Do not assume that a procedure is covered because a practice participates in the plan.
