Sensitivity and your treatment plan
Temporary sensitivity or gum irritation can occur. Speak with the dental team about existing sensitivity, untreated cavities and gum problems first. Ask about the likely result and the cost of any future touch-ups.
Compare what is included
- Consultation, examination and imaging
- Preparatory and related procedures
- Materials, laboratory work and temporary restorations
- Anaesthesia or sedation, if indicated
- Final placement, adjustments and follow-up
- Long-term maintenance, repair and replacement
Insurance and the CDCP
Ask for a written estimate of the plan’s contribution and your share. Preauthorization may be needed. Practice fees and CDCP fees may differ. Do not assume that a procedure is covered because a practice participates in the plan.
